Mars Express

May 2005. ASPERA (Analyzer of Space Plasma and Energetic Atoms), an instrument aboard Mars Express, will answer questions such as "Where did the Martian water go?" and "Is the water lost or simply frozen?". ASPERA uses XGC's 1750 compiler.

Beagle 2.

December 19, 2003 -- The Beagle 2 Mars lander, using ERC32 Ada, successfully separated from Mars Express and started its descent to the red planet.

Coral 66

December 2, 2000 -- Native Coral 66 compilers are release for IBM PC Linux 2 and Sun SPARC Solaris platforms. These compiler conform to the Official Definition of Coral 66, and support several sets of extensions.

ERC32 Ada goes to Mars

July 26, 2000 -- ERC32 Ada is selected for the Beagle mission to Mars. Due to be launched in 2003, and land six months later, Beagle will use its instruments to search for signs of life.

GCC-ERC32 Version 1.3

July 12, 2000 -- GCC-ERC32 will be upgraded to version 1.3, and will offer user mode C programs with comprehensive supervisor-mode services. Benchmark results suggest version 1.3 will offer smaller program images, without sacrificing performance. Call for a beta test version. (GCC-ERC32 Version 1.3b1 on ftp site now)

ERC32 Ada Version 1.3

July 11, 2000 -- ERC32 Ada 1.3 offers user mode Ada tasks that run either on a built-in run-time system, or on the debug monitor. Code improvements result in smaller size and better performance. Details to follow. ERC32 Ada ships today.

M1750 Ada Version 0.1p

May 2, 2000 -- The rollout of M1750 Ada begins with Version 0.1. M1750 Ada  offers the same features as ERC32 Ada, but targets the MIL-STD-1750 rather than the ERC32. Released today is the first beta test version. You may download a copy for evaluation. Be sure to see the release notes.
